This is the E-SKIMO: an electric assisted system for uphill ski climbs. It has advanced sensors to allow skiers to traverse trails up to 4 times faster. This is like an e-bike that helps you go uphill with less effort. It has a battery, traction belt, and power unit. It was recently showcased at CES 2025:

E-SKIMO can be ridden for up to 3 hours. The battery and power unit are removable and can fit in your backpack.
